“We joined Sarasota-Manatee Area Manufacturers Association to connect with other local manufacturers,” said Mark Schwalm, President of United States Awning. “We’ve been fabricating awnings and other shade products for decades, but now that we are the exclusive manufacturer of Sundance Louvered Roofs for Southwest Florida and actively recruiting dealers to sell and install the products we make in Sarasota, we felt it was time to get involved with SAMA.”
“We joined the Manatee-Sarasota Building Industry Association to connect with local homebuilders,” Schwalm continues. “We’ve been a member the Gulf Coast Builders Exchange for years and have great relationships with general contractors in the area. Now that the motorized louvers have become so popular with homeowners, we are raising awareness with local builders and remodelers.”
“We joined the American Institute of Architects Florida Gulf Coast to connect with local architects,” adds Schwalm. “We have so many talented designers in our market working on commercial and residential projects, and we want to make sure they not only understand the benefits of motorized louvered roof systems, but also know that United States Awning manufactures these products locally with 100% American-made aluminum.”
