SARASOTA, FL—United States Awning has hired Jordan Lawhorn to serve as Operations Manager, the company announced today. Lawhorn, who is new to the awning industry, will support the management team as he learns the production side of the business.
“Our phones haven’t stopped ringing since hurricane Ian hit Southwest Florida, says Mark Schwalm, President of United States Awning. “Since then we’ve been doing everything we can to keep up with demand. Bringing Jordan on board will increase our production capacity.”
Prior to joining United State Awning, Lawhorn spent five years working as an Acquisitions Manager for The Local House Buyers, a family-owned home buying company in Florida.
“After five years in the real estate industry I was ready for a new challenge,” shares Lawhorn, “and when Mark approached me about getting involved with United States Awning, I decided the timing was right to make a change.”
Originally from Rustburg, Virginia, Jordan moved to Florida in 2014. When he’s not working, Jordan enjoys playing golf and spending time with friends and family.
